Rankin Teen Charged With Homicide

A 16-year-old from Rankin is accused of killing a 16-year-old girl Friday night.

According to Pittsburgh police, Londell Jones has been arrested and charged with homicide in regards to the shooting death of the girl in Hawkins Village.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports the girl was identified as Delasia Dutrieuille.

According to police, investigators believe Dutrieuille had been robbed shortly before the shooting, and that she had confronted one of the robbers in the housing complex.

Friends took to Twitter to express condolences and disbelief of her death. Many Tweets indicate she was a student at Propel Braddock Hills High School. One classmate even said she would dedicate her submission into the school's art showcase to Dutrieuille.
