Report: Police Charge Suspect Now Wanted in Swissvale Man's Murder

Police are looking for the ex-husband of a woman in connection with the fatal shooting of her live-in boyfriend, according to various reports.

Allegheny County Police have charged David Edick, 27, of Brookline, with criminal homicide and burglary for the Aug. 31 shooting death of 27-year-old Ryan Beal. Beal was found dead at the bottom of a staircase inside his house in the 7400 block of Duquesne Avenue.

According to KDKA-TV, investigators believe Edick broke into his ex-wife’s apartment on Aug. 31 and shot Beal after fighting with the victim.

Police believe Edick may have left the state and has family in the Syracuse, NY area, KDKA reports.

Edick is described as a white male, about 5 feet 7 inches, 150 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.
