Rebecca Street and other surrounding streets remain closed as of 5:15 p.m. The house is at the corner of Rebecca and 13th Street. Fire and smoke also spread to an adjoining house but damage appeared minimal.

According to KDKA, a 92-year-old woman living in a neighboring home had to be carried out of the structure because she was afraid to leave, fearing that the fire would spread.

Allegheny County homicide detectives and the Allegheny County Fire Marshal's Office are investigating the cause of the fire.
