Marijuana, Knives Found During Traffic Stop

Here's a look at the latest from the office of District Judge Thomas Caulfield in Forest Hills.

  • Joshua Lee Woy, 33, of Verona was held for court on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and possession of marijuana. Woy was arrested June 7 after Wilkins police saw a car parked in the lot of Peerless Wallpaper. Four men were in the car as Woy was in the driver’s seat. Police smelled the odor of marijuana in the car, according to the complaint, and found a plastic container with 10 grams of it inside. Police also found a pipe, $1,530 in cash in the dashboard compartment and $850 in cash in the center console of the car. Police also discovered an ankle bracelet on Woy, which signified he had been on probation for driving under the influence.
  • Chad Frederick Frisbie, 26, of Penn Hills waived his right to a preliminary hearing this week on charges of selling/possession of offensive weapons, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and exceeding the speed limit by more than 15 miles per hour. Frisbie was arrested May 28 by Wilkins police after being pulled over on Route 22 near Penn Center Boulevard. Police noticed a small shopping bag near the gas pedal at Frisbie’s feet, who had started shaking visibly after being pulled over. Police asked if he had any weapons and he said he had a pocket knife. Police then recovered marijuana, a glass pipe, a machete, an 11-inch knife in a sheath and a glass bong. Another pocket knife was found in the driver’s side door.
