Man Accused of Robbing Brinton Road Cogo's in Court This Week

The following cases recently were heard by in :

Michael Tomson, 46, of Swissvale waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of simple assault and harassment. He was charged by Swissvale police March 24 after a domestic dispute involving his girlfriend’s son, according to a criminal complaint. Tomson also was in court this week on charges of simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment. He waived his right to a hearing on those charges as well, which stemmed from a domestic dispute incident that occurred April 15. 

Holly Ann Gostowski, 32, of West Mifflin waived her right to a preliminary hearing on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was charged April 7 by Swissvale police during a traffic stop when she was pulled over for expired inspection stickers on her vehicle. When police asked if she had any illegal contraband, she told police she had a crack pipe down the front of her pants, according to the criminal complaint. Police also found the substance suboxone.

Jamie Nichole Valenti, 29, of Plum waived her right to a preliminary hearing on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was charged April 21 by Churchill police during a traffic stop. Police reported that she looked intoxicated and had track marks on her arms, according to the police criminal complaint. Police found five stamp bags of suspected heroin, two crack pipes and crack cocaine.

Antoine Ellis Flowers, 23, of North Braddock was held for court on charges of firearms not to be carried without a license, fleeing an officer, driving while suspended, obedience to traffic controls, illegal turns, duties at stop sign and driving on the sidewalk. He was charged March 14 by Braddock Hills police.

Jeffrey T. Barringer, 25, of Irwin waived his right to a preliminary hearing on two counts of driving under the influence, disregarding traffic lane, required turn signals, driving at safe speed, careless driving and failure to use a safety belt. He was charged in Forest Hills March 15 by state police.

Dorian Christopher of Penn Hills waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of aggravated assault, robbery, disorderly conduct, loitering and prowling at night, recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats, receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, retail theft and simple assault. He was charged April 16 by Braddock Hills police after he robbed the Cogo’s store on Brinton Road and ran to Walnut in Edgewood. He took $330 in cash and was taken into custody after a chase.
