Judge Caulfield Hears Assault, Theft & Drug Cases

Forest Hills District Judge Thomas Caulfield heard the following cases on June 26:

  • John T. Gruver, 40, of Edgewood, was held for court on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct, two counts of terroristic threats and two counts of harassment. Two counts of recklessly endangering another person were dismissed. Edgewood police filed the charges after a June 2 incident on Locust Street in which Gruver is accused of threatening to kill two people with a knife.
  • Carrie Lynn Dennison, 29, of Wilkinsburg, waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of theft. Forest Hills police filed the charges on Oct. 19, 2012. She is accused of stealing an Ardmore Boulevard resident's credit card and charging $678.
  • Jamal Minard, 24, of Wilkinsburg, was held for court on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent, possession of a controlled substance and prohibited acts. Wilkinsburg police filed the charges after a June 17 incident on Foliage Street. 
  • Damian Yandura, 23, of New Brighton, waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of theft. Swissvale police filed the charge after an Aug. 1, 2012, incident on Milton Avenue. He is accused of stealing a bottle with $500 in change from a resident.
