Former Woodland Hills Football Player Caught Up In Undercover Drug Bust

Pittsburgh police purchased drugs at the home of the football player.

A former Woodland Hills High School football player, who now plays for Pitt, got caught up in an undercover drug bust. 

Pittsburgh narcotics detectives made an undercover buy Thursday night at the South Oakland house Khaynin Mosley-Smith, 21, resides in, according to the Pittsburgh Police spokesperson. 

Detectives arrested the man they bought drugs from, Darnell Reed-Young, 22, of the North Side, and charged him with possession of a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance, possession wit intent to deliver controlled substance and use or possession of paraphernalia.

Mosley-Smith, Eric Williams, 20, and Andrew Carswell, 21, also Pitt football players according to the roster, are charged with use or possession of paraphernalia. They were not arrested.

Mosley-Smith was the only two-way starter for Woodland Hills' 2009 WPIAL champion team. He played for Milford Academy in New York before coming to Pitt.
