Forest Hills Police Respond to Retail Theft, Disturbance & Hit-and-Run Calls

Here's a look at the police blotter for March 23 to 28.

The following incidents were reported to the Forest Hills Police Department. Information was obtained from incident and police reports.

March 23

  • Police assisted the Braddock Hills Police Department with an argument between two women at the Braddock Hills Shopping Center along Yost Boulevard.

March 24

  • A retail theft was reported at the Rite Aid on Ardmore Boulevard. According to police, a black woman in her 30s stole a $16 bottle of Tide detergent. The store's manager confronted the woman, but she got away in a tan minivan.

March 25

  • Police issued parking warnings to motorists who were blocking Portage Lane.

March 26

  • A Pacific Avenue resident reported his dog got loose and ran away. The dog later was found on Marion Avenue stuck to a tree by its leash.
  • Police were called to the Forest Hills District Court office on Ardmore Boulevard for a disorderly man.

March 27

  • A hit-and-run accident was reported on the 2000 block of Ardmore Boulevard. A woman reported she had parked her vehicle and returned to find that the drivers side mirror had been hit and damaged.
