Forest Hills Police Assist in Shooting Response, Suspicious Reports

May 1
- Officers assisted the North Braddock Police Department in responding to a man who was shot at 418 Stokes Avenue.
- A Pizza Hut customer started a verbal dispute with a store manager over miscommunication involving a promise for store credit. The customer said he ordered a pizza with pepperoni and extra sauce the day before, received neither, and was promised a refund or store credit. The manager on duty wasn’t aware of the agreement. Police spoke with the customer, and the incident was referred to the district manager.
- A resident brought a lost dog to the police station. The owner showed up to claim the dog within an hour.

- Officers assisted the Braddock Hills Police Department in responding to a violent domestic dispute and arrest.

- Officers responded to a complaint that an unknown person had been cutting trees and shrubs on Barclay Avenue.
May 4
- A caller reported that a suspicious looking man appeared to be fiddling with a garage’s key pad on Glasgow Road. Upon investigation, police learned that the man was the home owner’s son and had forgotten the code.
- Officers received word that two men were fighting. Both were gone when police arrived.
- A caller reported around 10 p.m. that kids were hanging out behind the Westinghouse Recreation Center. Police officers investigated and told the kids to leave the area for the night.

- A woman living on the 600 block of Barclay Avenue called police saying she witnessed someone in a passing vehicle throw a rock at a parked car. Police inspected the vehicle and noted damage to a door. The woman who called could not give a description of the suspect’s vehicle or its plate numbers.

- Police responded to a domestic dispute on Atlantic Avenue. Upon arrival, the male involved in the dispute had fled the scene.
- Officers located a stolen vehicle at Lenox and Atlantic avenues.
May 7
- A woman in a vehicle on the 1500 block of Ardmore Boulevard told a police officer that she’d left an incident in North Versailles involving a man with a gun. The officer referred the case to that police department.
May 8
- A Forest Hills man reported fraudulent activities from his Dollar Bank account.
