Forest Hills Park Vandalized

Here are the Forest Hills police reports for June 7 to 13.

Numerous items were vandalized at the main park in Forest Hills last week.

On June 9, the borough department of public works reported that several picnic tables were turned over, garbage cans had been dumped over and the portable toilet also was pushed over. 

Public works was able to clean up the mess, and no items were permanently damaged.

The following also were reported to the Forest Hills Police Department:

May 11

  • A purse was reportedly stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Sylvan Road. A wristlet with ID, credit cards and $100 was missing, as well as $37 that was inside the vehicle. 
  • An accident occurred on the 1900 block of Ardmore Boulevard. A vehicle attempting to get into the left lane hit a second vehicle, causing it to crash into the median strip and hit two trees. No injuries were reported.
  • An officer on patrol observed a woman jump in front of traffic on Ardmore Boulevard. According to police, she was intoxicated and will be charged with public intoxication.
