Forest Hills Court: Robbery, Burglary & DUI Cases

The latest from Forest Hills court.

The following cases recently were heard by District Judge Thomas Caulfield in Forest Hills:

Christopher Mozurak, 32, of Pittsburgh was held for court on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, and criminal attempt. Swissvale police charged him July 2 after being dispatched to Buena Vista for a burglary in progress.

Ansley Downing, 18, of Swissvale was held for court on charges of robbery, conspiracy, and simple assault. Swissvale police filed charges July 2 after a man was followed and attacked by a group of people who came out of Arby’s. The victim knew Downing and identified him as one of the attackers, according to the criminal complaint.

Steven Michael Freudenthal, 18, of Pennsylvania (address unknown) waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking and criminal mischief. Forest Hills police charged him July 2.

Shirley Abbott, 51, of Park Place waived her right to a preliminary hearing on charges of possession of a controlled substance. Swissvale police charged her July 2 after a parole officer doing a compliance check found pills and heroin in her apartment, according to the criminal complaint.

Dion Tate, 38, of Penn Hills waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of driving under the influence and disregard of the traffic lane. State police charged him Jan. 29.

Howard C. Mills, 78, of Forest Hills waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of driving under the influence, failure to yield and careless driving. Swissvale police charged him May 7.

Chase Rashard Dearring, 24, of Erie waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of driving under the influence, disregard of the traffic lane, driving at safe speed, and careless driving. He was charged June 4 by state police.

Crystal Ann Bakes, 21, of Irwin waived her right to a preliminary hearing on charges of driving under the influence, disregard of the traffic lane, turning signals required and careless driving. State police charged her May 29.

Carissa Ann Stubbs, 21, of Monroeville waived her right to a preliminary hearing on charges of driving under the influence, disregard of traffic lane, too slow for conditions, careless driving and restraint systems. State police charged her June 4.

Kelvin L. Wilson Bey, Sr., 50, of East McKeesport waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of driving under the influence, disorderly conduct, and failure to yield. Churchill police charged him June 12.
