Ex-Pittsburgh Police Chief Indicted by Grand Jury

A grand jury indicted former Pittsburgh Police Chief Nate Harper on Friday.

Former Pittsburgh Police Chief Nate Harper was indicted by a grand jury Friday, WPXI reports.

According to WPXI, Harper faces five charges, including four counts of failure to properly file income tax returns and one count of conspiracy to commit theft from an agency receiving federal funds.

The federal grand jury reports that Harper illegally diverted more than $70,000 that was received by the police bureau's special events office and he spent more than $31,000 of that on himself.
