Edgewood Police Reports: Man Shot After Road Rage, Duplex Fire

Oct. 8

• Police received a report of shots fired near Walnut in the borough after a car chase that stemmed from road rage ensued. One man was shot in the thigh and injured.
• A minor accident on South Braddock Avenue was reported.
• Edgewood officers assisted police with a vehicle accident report.
• Police responded to a fire in a duplex at 441 Locust Street.
• Edgewood police assisted Wilkinsburg officers with a driving under the influence arrest. John Jackson is charged.

Oct. 9

• police assisted Swissvale officers with two domestic violence calls.

Oct. 11

• Police responded to an accident at Swissvale Avenue and Race Street after a man sneezed and clipped a stop sign.
• Police responded to after two employees got into a fight. Tambra Blye, an intern, was fired afterward and gone when police arrived.
• Edgewood police assisted Wilkinsburg officers with a driving under the influence arrest. Matthew Tornowski had a .133 blood alcohol content after a breath test and was charged.

Oct. 12

• Police handled a parking complaint on East End Avenue.
• Police responded to two burglar alarms in the borough. One was an accident and with the other, the house was found to be secure.

Oct. 13

• A disturbance at Radio Shack in Edgewood Towne Center was reported after a customer became verbally abusive to a manager who was on the phone with another customer. The person was gone when police arrived.
