Edgewood Police Reports: Criminal Mischief, DUI Arrests

Here's a look at the police reports from this week.

Oct. 15

  • Edgewood police assisted state police with a three-car accident with injuries on the Parkway East.

Oct. 16

  • Edgewood police assisted Wilkinsburg officers with a vehicle involved in a hit and run accident on Walnut Street. A female driver was arrested for driving under the influence after Edgewood police observed her driving away.
  • Edgewood police responded to a 911 hangup from the Edgewood Towne Center Kmart pay phone. No one was located upon arrival.
  • Edgewood police assisted Wilinsburg officers at 428 Franklin in an attempt to locate an unknown man involved in a stabbing on Center Street.

  • Criminal mischief was reported on Pennwood Avenue after someone reportedly smashed in the driver’s side rear window of a Dodge Durango parked in front of a house.
  • Edgewood police assisted state police during an accident with injuries.

Oct. 18

  • Edgewood police arrested Peter Wargo of Mifflin Avenue for driving under the influence after he backed into a telephone pole multiple times, then pulled into the telephone multiple times. His blood alcohol content was reported to be at .230 after a breath test.
  • Criminal mischief was reported at 327 E. Swissvale Ave. after an unknown person threw a rock through the living room window.

  • Rodger Smith was arrested after a traffic stop in which police found that his license was suspended for DUI, and he was wanted for warrants out of six different magistrates.
