DUI Cases Go Before Judge Caulfield

Forest Hills District Justice Thomas Caulfield heard several cases on April 17.

The following cases went before Forest Hills District Justice Thomas Caulfield on April 17:

  • Terri A. Lowrey, 50, of Swissvale waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of theft by deception. The Allegheny County Housing Authority Police filed the charges against Lowrey, who is accused of failing to report income from May 2010 and August 2011 while she was receiving money from the authority's assistance program.
  • John W. Gogola II, 49, of Wheeling, W.V., waived a preliminary hearing on two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Swissvale police filed the charges after a Feb. 20 traffic stop on South Braddock Avenue and Church Street.
  • Amber Doller Smith, 26, of Butler waived a preliminary hearing on charges of intent to possess a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. A charge of driving with a suspended license was withdrawn. Swissvale police filed the charges after a Dec. 9, 2012, incident on South Braddock Avenue and Roslyn Street.
  • Darla J. Hampton, 43, of Bedford waived a preliminary hearing in charges of careless driving, disrearding a traffic signal and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Churchill police filed the charges after a Jan. 13 incident in the Route 22 ramp area.
