Courts: Man Charged with Simple Assault, Making Threats

Stevland K. Parks, 27, of Wilkinsburg waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of two counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was charged March 16 by Swissvale police after they were notified that a wanted man may be at T’s Lounge. Police found him there and also discovered marijuana in his possession after searching him. Parks was wanted on domestic charges and not showing up for court.

Robert Dino Rothrauff, 52, of Swissvale waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of manufacturing with intent to deliver. Swissvale police charged him March 14 after being dispatched for a theft report at a local apartment. They found him with a number of pills.

Will T. Smith, III, 28, of Wilkinsburg waived his right to a preliminary hearing on one charge of simple assault. Swissvale police filed charges Feb. 25 after being dispatched to a borough apartment after a woman said she was assaulted by her baby’s father. Police found the woman with a red mark on her neck and a bloody lip. Smith, III also waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of simple assault, making threats and criminal mischief after Swissvale police arrested him Jan. 11. The police criminal complaint states that he kicked in the same woman’s door and threatened to kill her. When officers arrived, he was reportedly combative.
