Courts: Man Charged in Swissvale Alley Robbery, DUI Arrests

The following cases recently were heard by in :

Allen Berry, 19, of was held for court on charges of robbery, four counts of conspiracy, simple assault, unlawful restraint, three counts of access device, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. Berry was arrested by Swissvale police Jan. 22 after they were called to a robbery in the alley behind 7523 Roslyn St. The victim was on his way home from work around 1 a.m. near the East busway when he was stopped by three men, one of whom pointed a gun at him. The men took $50 out of his wallet, an iPhone and a debit card, then demanded his pin number. The debit card was then used to make three withdrawals at an ATM on Noble Street, according to the police criminal complaint. 

Diane L. Kaiser, 50, of Robinson Township waived her right to a preliminary hearing on charges of two counts of driving under the influence. She was arrested Jan. 24 by Swissvale police after they were dispatched to South Braddock and Melrose for a two-car accident. When they arrived, Kaiser’s breath smelled like alcohol, she had slurred speech and could not maintain her balance, according to the police criminal complaint.

Jason Matthew Schliecker, 27, of North Braddock waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of possession of a controlled substance. Port Authority police were patrolling near the Swissvale station when they saw suspected drug activity, according to the police criminal complaint. Suspected heroin was found after a pat down.

Mary Beth Warren, 46, of Homestead waived her right to a preliminary hearing this week on a charge that she made a false report. Swissvale police charged her Jan. 26 after responding to a report of a hit and run accident at 7408 Washington. When police arrived, she could not describe the other car involved. The damage also was not consistent with her description of the accident, according to the complaint.

Dorian Alfred Dixon, 31, of East Liberty waived the right to a preliminary hearing on charges of two counts of driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, exceeding 35 miles per hour by more than 11 miles per hour, careless driving and an improper muffler. The arrest was made Jan. 29 by Forest Hills police.

Adam Kinney, 36, of White Oak waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of two counts of driving under the influence, careless driving, reckless driving and obedience to traffic controls. He was arrested Jan. 16 by state police in Churchill, according to the criminal complaint.

Anthony M. Banks of Swissvale waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of manufacturing with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, duties at stop sign and turning movements required. He was arrested by Wilkins police June 7.
