Courts: GameStop Robbery, DUI Cases Heard

Here's a look at the hearings from this week.

The following cases recently were heard before in:

Marque Yellets, 20, of Wilkinsburg was held for court this week before District Judge Thomas Caulfield after he according to a police criminal complant. Three counts of aggravated assault were dismissed during his hearing this week, while he was held for court on charges of receiving stolen property, robbery and simple assault.

Keith Allen Bloom, 31, of Weirton, West Virginia was held for court on charges of two counts of driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, disregard of the traffic lane, failure to yield and careless driving. Bloom was arrested July 14 by state police after he swerved on the parkway in Churchill, according to the criminal complaint. Police also reported seeing an almost empty vodka bottle, while Bloom’s eyes were bloodshot and he was sluggish.

Richard Mull, 58, of Hampton, Virginia was held for court on a simple assault charge. Edgewood police responded to a fight in the parking lot at Wendy’s restaurant in Edgewood Towne Center July 14 where two men were fighting. Mull was painting lines in the lot when someone drove over the fresh paint. After yelling at the driver, Richard Deutschbauer, the driver then got out of the car, according to the criminal complaint. Police reported that Mull grabbed Deutschbauer’s shoulder and shoved him to the ground.

Kamal Rzayev, 37, of Penn Hills waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of driving under the influence, duties at a stop sign, driving at unsafe speed, and highest rate of DUI. Rzayev was arrested Aug. 2 by Churchill police after officers observed him at the intersection of Beulah and William Penn Highway, as he almost rear ended another car at a stop light, according to the criminal complaint. Police reported he smelled of alcohol and also failed an initial breath test.

Julius David Dudley, 23, of Monroeville waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of two counts of driving under the influence, disregard of the traffic lane, careless driving and failure to use a safety belt. He was arrested July 14 by state police after officers were called to a one car crash near the Greensburg Pike ramp on the Parkway East, according to the criminal complaint. Police reported that Dudley smelled of alcohol and stumbled. It also was reported that Dudley had a .19 blood alcohol content, according to the report.

David Kenney, 23, of Mount Oliver waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of driving under the influence and careless driving. Forest Hills police arrested Kenney Aug. 1 after being called to a one car crash near the Spee D’s on Ardmore Boulevard. The car had crashed into a pole on the medium, the report states.

Margaret Kirkwood, 55, of Wilkinsburg waived her right to a preliminary hearing on charges of two counts of driving under the influence, driving an unregistered vehicle and failure to carry a license. Kirkwood was arrested Sept. 3 after Edgewood police saw her stumbling on South Braddock Avenue, according to a criminal complaint. Police asked if she was OK, and she kept walking. A man approached police and said she was drunk and about to get in her car. Police then pulled into the Braddock Avenue Express parking lot and saw her sitting in a car in the driver’s seat with the engine and headlights on. Police said her speech was slurred and her arm was bleeding, while she told them she had fallen.
