Courts: DUI Arrests, Man Charged with Harassment

Here's a look at the court cases heard this week.

The following cases recently were heard by in :

Kimberly Ann Tykarski, 48, of Confluence waived her right to a preliminary hearing on charges of two counts of driving under the influence, disregard of the traffic lane and careless driving. She was charged Jan. 19 by Braddock Hills police.

Glenard Bryant, 45, of Penn Hills was held for court on two counts of harassment, disorderly conduct, loitering and prowling, two counts of making terrorist threats, public drunkenness and possession of an instrument of crime with intent. Forest Hills police charged Bryant Feb. 21 after a domestic dispute involving a woman who has a protection from abuse order against him.

Brandon James Turner, 25, of Pittsburgh waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of criminal conspiracy, manufacturing with intent to deliver, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, no rear lights and driving a vehicle without proper inspection. He was charged Sept. 26 by Wilkins police.

Julian Alexander Thompson, 20, of Pittsburgh waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of criminal conspiracy, manufacturing with intent to deliver, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was charged Sept. 26 by Wilkins police.

Edward K. Schmidgal, 36, of Swissvale was held for court on charges including driving under the influence at the highest rate, driving the wrong way, careless driving, operating a vehicle without inspection, evidence of emissions inspection. He was charged Feb. 26 by Swissvale police.

Angel Amber Long, 37, of Jeanette waived her right to a preliminary hearing on charges of criminal conspiracy, two counts of manufacturing with intent to deliver, receiving stolen property, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wilkins police charged her Aug. 1 after being called to the Wendy’s restaurant on William Penn Highway for a possible drug overdose.

Jacquay Louis, 26, of West Mifflin waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of two counts of driving under the influence, driving while suspended, disregard of traffic lane, improper stop, exceeding 55 mph by 19 mph. He was charged by state police Dec. 5 near the Edgewood/Swissvale exit on the Parkway.
