Conspiracy, DUI and Drug Cases Go Before Judge Caulfield

Several went before Forest Hills District Justice Thomas Caulfield on April 24.

The following cases went before Forest Hills District Justice Thomas Caulfield on April 24:

  • Angel Brown, 26, of Swissvale; and Brandi Kelly, 33, of North Versailles waived preliminary hearings on charges of conspiracy, corruption of minors and furnishing liquor to minors. Swissvale police filed the charges after a Sept. 15, 2012, incident on Manor Avenue. The pair is accused of giving alcohol to three minors.
  • Judith Ann Cancel, 23, of Penn Hills waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Charges of driving without a license, operating a vehicle without valid inspection and evidence of emission inspections were withdrawn. Swissvale police filed the charges after a March 15 incident on Woodstock Avenue.
  • Samara Cylene Bey, 31, of Brackenridge waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of prohibited possession of a firearm. Swissvale police filed the charge after a June 28, 2012, incident on Woodstock Avenue.
  • Ryan Suomela, 23, of Irwin; and Marc Anthony Rodnicki, 32, of Irwin waived preliminary hearings on charges of intent to possess a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness. Churchill police filed the charges after a Feb. 1 incident on Williamsburg Place.
  • Richard Chura, 46, of State College waived a preliminary hearing on charges of disregarding a traffic lane and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Five traffic violations were withdrawn. State police filed the charges after a Nov. 12, 2012, traffic stop on the Parkway East.
  • Mary McNaugher Biernesser, 23, of Wilkinsburg waived a preliminary hearing on charges of careless driving, failure to wear a seatbelt, removal of deposited material, speeding, disregarding a traffic lane, failure to notify police of address change and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. State police filed the charges after an Oct. 4, 2012, incident on the Parkway East.
  • Daniel L. Hawk Jr., 26, of Bethel Park waived a preliminary hearing on charges of tampering with evidence, intent to possess a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving. Churchill police filed the charges after a March 8 accident on William Penn Highway.
