Burglary and Criminal Mischief Keep Forest Hills Police Busy

Here are the Forest Hills police reports for July 27 to Aug. 1.

The following incidents were reported to Forest Hills police between July 27 to Aug. 1:

July 29

  • Police responded to a burglary call on Sharon Drive. The front door of a home had been kicked in and two dresser drawers had been ransacked. A jewelry box and money were reported stolen.
  • A hit-and-run accident was reported on Avenue E. A parked vehicle sustained severe/disabling damage.
  • A gun was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Sheryl Lane.
July 30
  • Vandalism was reported at the Westinghouse Lodge on Barclay Avenue. Two picnic tables were broken, trash was dumped out of the cans and 21 picnic tables were moved on the deck of the rec center.
Aug. 1
  • A school bus and a vehicle got into a minor accident on Avenue L at Avenue F.
