Aggressive Driving Patrols on Ardmore Boulevard Begin

Forest Hills police officers have increased enforcement on the busy road.

The Forest Hills Police Department has increased patrols on one of the borough's busiest roads.

Police Chief Chuck Williams said the aggresive driving patrols on Ardmore Boulevard are under way.

"That means you're going to see police cars with their lights on, unmarked cars and traffic stops," the chief said. "Please drive slowly.

"Aggressive driving patrols isn't about giving tickets. It's about trying to make sure that people drive safely."

Williams said the East Hills DUI Task Force also will be conducting roving driving under the influence patrols within the next month.

"These are some of the things we're trying to do to provide safety," he said. "Especially on Ardmore boulevard, where we have most of our accidents."
