17 Cars Vandalized, Armed Robbery at Cogo's, Smash & Grab at Edgewood Express

The following police reports came in this week from the Edgewood Police Department:

April 13

• Police responded to a false alarm at Taco Bell.
• Police served a Protection from Abuse order.
• Police responded to an accident in the Giant Eagle parking lot where a driver tried to flee as police arrived. He stopped near PNC Bank. Gary Pronio was placed in custody and charged with driving under the influence and possession of 13 stamp bags of heroin.
• Police responded to a complaint of dogs barking for three hours on Savannah. The owner was advised.

April 14

• Police responded to a hit and run accident in the Applebee’s parking lot after an Escalade backed into another car and fled the scene before police arrived.
• Edgewood police assisted Swissvale officers with a report of a woman who was assaulted by her daughter and a friend near the Family Dollar parking lot.
• Edgewood police assisted Swissvale officers with a report of a prowler near 2210 Delaware after a man was seen looking into the rear windows of vehicles. He was gone when police arrived.
• Edgewood police assisted state police with an accident on the Parkway.

April 15

• Edgewood police cited Lawrence Petty for disorderly conduct after he was reportedly smoking and screaming inside of . His psych nurse was notified.
• Edgewood police assisted Braddock Hills police with an armed robbery at on Brinton Road. A man fled into Edgewood and was apprehended near 1505 Walnut after a perimeter was set.
• Police responded to two false alarms at Edgewood Towne Center.
• Edgewood police assisted Wilkinsburg officers with a driving under the influence arrest after Adarius Phillips had a .162 percent blood alcohol content.

April 16

• 17 cars were broken into along Elm Street, Linden Ave. and near Maple.
• Edgewood police assisted Swissvale officers with a robbery on Woodstock at Short. A perimeter was set up with negative results.

April 17

• Police assisted on two medical calls.
• Police responded to a domestic call.
• Tony Edmunds was cited after a traffic stop near E. Swissvale and Race for multiple vehicle code violations.
• Edgewood police responded to a smash and grab burglary at Cigarettes were stolen and blood was found at the scene.
• Edgewood police assisted Swissvale officers with a dispute after a woman was causing a disturbance.

April 18

• A protection from abuse order was issued in the borough.
• Police responded to a medical call.
• Edgewood police assisted Wilkinsburg officers in arresting Leroy Hicks for driving under the influence after he had a .172 blood alcohol content after a breath test.
