Washington Symphony presents "Space -- The Final Frontier!"

Join the Washington Symphony Orchestra as it opens its season with "Space - The Final Frontier" on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 8 p.m. at Trinity High School, 231 Park Ave., Washington, PA. You'll hear great selections from Holst's "The Planets," "2001:A Space Odyssey," and "Star Trek Through the Years." In addition, local composer Dominic Carrola debuts "Windows Beyond Earth" featuring video accompaniment by Ron Hankison of Pittsburgh's Winter Morning Pictures. Guest composer Lynn Emberg Purse and her husband guest artist Bill Purse will perform using the theremin, an early electronic instrument from the 1930s that has been used in many space and sci-fi movies.
Advance Tickets available at Peters Township Library, Citizens Library, and all branches of Washington Financial. Tickets also sold at the door and on-line at www.washsym.org  Adults $20; Seniors (65 and up) and Youth (K-12) $15 each.
