Long-time Family House volunteer wins Jefferson Award
Long-time Family House volunteer and board member Bobbee Kramer was recently honored as a 2013 Jefferson Award recipient. The Jefferson Awards are a national volunteer recognition program created to encourage and honor individuals for their achievements and contributions for community service on a national and local level. After 17 years, Bobbee's favorite part of volunteering is still "knowing that we're providing a home away from home for people with a lot of stress and anxiety facing a very fearful situation." Family House is one of the largest hospitality houses in the country, providing an affordable home for patients and their families seeking medical treatment in Pittsburgh.
