Tablet Life in the 21st Century, Part 1.

After a week of using a tablet it's obvious that while most things work pretty great, some things just don't "click" or "tap" or something.

Don't get me wrong, my usual words-per-minute hovers right around 80. That could be due to the couple of nut-browns I downed tonight or the decision that I would go on a noble techie quest and only use my new tablet.

I'm definitely what's considered a "power user." Living the "geek dream" for me is getting a new laptop every year or so, a new smartphone when I want it and now getting to use a new ThinkPad Android tablet at the company's expense.

The perks are well-earned, of course, as I get all the stress that goes along with being a business owner in today's economy.

Anyways, I was very skeptical of the tablet idea as I figured my laptop fills the need for heavier uses and my trusty Android smartphone takes care of the portability.

I'm here to tell you, I'm a tablet convert. It's so much more convenient to pick it up, wake it up quick and do that snappy web-search or IMDB lookup. My wife's already logged three hours or so of Angry Birds, of course.

I won't even get into the Apple vs Google argument. My quick and dirty opinion is that each is good for different things and different people.

This post did take me about 10 times longer to type than with my laptop, but I'll have my keyboard folio soon to take care of that situation.

I'll post more here soon.
