The Woodland Hills boys basketball team used an upbeat style and some timely scoring to defeat a highly regarded Plum Mustangs team on Friday night.
A large crowd was on hand hoping to hand the visitors their third loss of the season to go with their seven wins. The Mustangs were led by Cornell recruit Nolan Cressler who tallied 27 points, but in the end, the Wolverines prevailed hitting some clutch shots from the floor and at the line to secure a win that put the home standing crowd in a raucous mood as they exited.
The final score was 64-58. The Wolverines will travel to McKeesport this Tuesday to take on the Tigers, then return home against West Mifflin the following Friday.
