Your Valentine's Day Night Cap Guide

Grab a drink at one of these great options after your date.

A great Valentine’s Day date has to end with the perfect night-cap. Here are a few options throughout the region where you and your special someone can top off the night with a drink or two. Hint: It does not involve Town Tavern on the South Side or Rumshakers—those are both great bars, don't get me wrong, but hey, there's a time and a place for everything!

Dish Osteria and Bar—South Side, 128 S. 17th Street
This intimate bar and restaurant has a wide range of cocktails to choose from and has a great ambiance. The lighting is perfect for ending your Valentine’s Day date. My favorite drink from this option is a mojito—they’re fresh, light and unforgettable!

Rivertowne Inn—Verona, 500 Jones St.
This low-key spot is a nice option to end the night. The establishment has a dining room and bar area, complete with more then 200 varieties of beer.

Kelly’s Bar and Lounge—East Liberty, 6012 Penn Circle
If you and your partner love good jukeboxes with plenty of punk and indie options, this is the place for you. With a warm, red-tinted interior, Kelly’s can also serve as a romantic spot for your night-cap with booth seating available, plenty of tasty cocktails and lots of fun. My favorite choice here—try a Cosmopolitan with Ciroc vodka.

Papa J’s Centro—Downtown, 212 Blvd. of the Allies
This is a great location for a nightcap because it is centrally located in Downtown Pittsburgh and also is an historical building, known for once being a brothel. That in itself isn’t so romantic, but the vibe of the building has a very old feel, great selections and also is rumored to be haunted. Add some excitement to your date and look for ghosts before heading home!
