Woodland Hills Alum Nominated for Academic Award

CCAC's Sean Samsa has been nominated for an award.

Sean Samsa, who recently graduated from the Community College of Allegheny County, has been nominated for the NJCAA Pinnacle Award for Academic Excellence.

Samsa of Turtle Creek played shortstop for the CCAC–South Campus Tigers baseball team during his two years at the college. He also is a graduate of Woodland Hills High School.

The Pinnacle Award is the highest academic honor awarded by the NJCAA. Mr. Samsa’s nomination recognizes his 4.0 GPA at CCAC. The criminal justice major has also been a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and is the recipient of a campus Tiger Leadership Award. He has earned a full scholarship to the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff for his athletic and academic excellence.
