School District Celebrates Earth Day in Recycled Art

Here's a look at what some local students created out of water bottles and other recycled materials.

Woodland Hills Academy Art Teacher Erin Muffi displayed recycled artwork from second and third grade students in the case at the main entrance to the school.

The flower garden is made entirely of recycled materials, mainly plastic water bottles.

The project was done to acknowledge Earth Day and the need for students to be responsible about their environment.  One of the students told Mrs. Muffi that she will never look at a water bottle the same way again.
