Residents Lose Power After Storm

Power outages were reported across the area.

Area residents Monday night were left in the dark after a short thunderstorm spread across the region, leaving some minor damage.

“We had some tree limbs down that we need to pick up but no outages at the borough building,” said Edgewood Borough Manager Warren Cecconi.

Residents reported outages Monday night shortly after a thunderstorm moved across the region. Edgewood Town Centre’s power was out at 10 p.m., along with homes all the way down Race Street in Edgewood near Koenig Field.

Regent Square residents reported a loss of power for awhile, followed by a full blackout. Others in Park Place and people living on Biddle Avenue also lost power after the storm.

Duquesne Light reported that other areas that were affected by power outages due to the storm included residents in Forest Hills, Churchill, Penn Hills, Plum and Wilkins.
