Regent Square Woman Selected for Prestigious Harvard Fellowship

Local woman is embarking on a fellowship.

The board of directors of the Community Design Center of Pittsburgh recently congratulated  of Regent Square on her selection for the highly competitive Loeb Fellowship at Harvard. 

Lubenau will participate in the fellowship after completing a 13 year tenure with the CDCP, including 10 years of leadership as president and CEO.    

The Loeb Fellowship is a prestigious award based at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard and was created to nurture the leadership potential of the most promising men and women in design and other professions related to the built and natural environment.

The fellowship was endowed by John Loeb in 1970 to increase the practical effectiveness of design professionals and the program annually offers nine post-professional awards for independent study. Loeb Fellows have access to the faculty and resources of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the Graduate School of Design, the Graduate School of Education, Harvard Business School, Harvard College, Harvard Divinity School, Harvard Law School, the Kennedy School of Government, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.   

During the fellowship, Lubenau will study urban planning, public policy and civic leadership.

"I'm thrilled to have this opportunity to explore how to create a civic culture that values planning and design," she said in a news release. "I'm looking forward to sharing and building on my experiences at the CDCP, and connecting with an international network of individuals and resources. The Loeb Fellowship is a wonderful way to do that."
