Praying for Peace

The origami peace cranes took flight at Waverly Presbyterian Sunday.

More than 2,900 origami cranes took flight over the heads of church-goers Sunday at in Regent Square, marking the 10th commemoration of the 9/11 attacks.

Each and every crane held the name of a victim of 9/11, as the Rev. Beckie Hickok shared some of the stories she had read that day about just a few of them, along with a sermon that gave people to time to look up and pray for peace, reflecting on the names of those above.
