Power Lines Down in Edgewood, Tornado Watch Issued for County

High winds brought down a tree branch and lines Wednesday.

A tree branch and electrical lines fell to the streets Wednesday after high winds rushed through the neighborhood.

Edgewood Fire Chief Dave Andrews said crews are on the scene at the 1100 block of Mifflin Avenue in Edgewood. He said those traveling in the area should expect to see crews working there for the next couple of hours.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch that will last until 10 p.m. Wednesday night for Allegheny County and several others in the region.
