Patch All-Star Kid: Michael Hill

Check out this week's Patch All-Star Kid!

Edgewood Elementary’s Michael Hill impresses everyone with his winning writing skills.

Accomplishment: Fifth grader Michael Hill won the Bishop G.E. Patterson Writing Contest. Contestants were asked to answer one question dealing with a variety of topics. Hill wrote about 17th century African-American astronomer and mathematician Benjamin Banneker.

All-Star Kid’s Key to Awesomeness: Hill writes every day, whether it’s about things that happened to him or fictional tales. He enjoys creating stories and characters and using his imagination in his writing. He’s very excited to have won the contest. He enjoyed writing about Banneker who he describes as “smart and creative,” a real innovator, just like Hill himself.
