July 4th Weekend Filled with Events

Community Days kicks off in Swissvale today, Forest Hills holds its own events Monday.

Swissvale Community Days kicks off tonight at the , where plenty of food, music and family fun will be provided. Here is the schedule of events:

Friday - 6 to 10 p.m.
6:30 p.m. - Hypnotist takes the stage
8 pm -- The FBB Band plays
DJ’s will play music in between the breaks

Saturday - 4 to 10 p.m.
4 p.m. -- Swissvale Police Department K9 unit will put on a demonstration
4:30 p.m. Living Spirit Ministry Band plays
5:30p.m. -- Gina’s Dance Studio performs
6:30 p.m. -- Kill Room - band
8 p.m. - Ms. Freddye and the Blue Faze
A fireworks display by Star Fire will be presented after dark.

Activities on both nights include a dunk tank, moon walk, a 911 van teaching kids how to call for help, hay rides, a pie-throwing booth and local food vendors.

Forest Hills Community Day

Celebrate Independence Day at . On July 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Forest Hills provides fun for the whole family with Community Day. The celebration includes a raffle table and kids table provided by The Garden Club. Stroll through the gardens and absorb the beauty of the neighborhood. You can even take it home with you—kids are welcome to take home a plant!
