House Hunt: Mon Valley Initiative Holds Open Houses

This Sunday, the Mon Valley Initiative will open up seven homes that span the communities of Homestead, North Braddock, Swissvale and Turtle Creek for the "MVI Showcase of Homes."

The event will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.  MVI staff and community volunteers will welcome guests at each location.

Below is a list of the houses included in the event: 

• 1417 Mifflin Street, Homestead, PA 15120, 3 bedroom, 2.5 full bath

• 614 Baldridge Street, North Braddock, PA 15104, 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath

• 7411 Duquesne Avenue, Swissvale, PA 15218, 4 bedroom, 1.5 bath

• 7417 Duquesne Avenue, Swissvale, PA 15218, 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath

• 7421 Park Avenue, Swissvale, PA 15218, 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath

• 7651 Highland Avenue, Swissvale, PA 15128, 4 bedroom, 1 bath

• 329 George Street, Turtle Creek, PA 15145, 3 bedroom, 1 bath

Each of the homes in North Braddock, Swissvale and Turtle Creek are fully renovated and energy efficient. 

The home on Mifflin Street in Homestead is newly constructed and has an open floor plan. There are five additional new homes on the block. Some of these other homes may be open for tours on the day of the open house.
