While the cartoons and pop stars featured on school valentines come and go with their popularities, the sentiments remain mostly the same. Do you have one to share?
School valentines, tucked away in drawers or albums or boxes of school mementos, can tell the story of a child's life.
No doubt, they record pop culture.
For instance, a 30 year old who was at Wilkins, Edgewood or Shaffer Primary schools in the late 1980s or early 1990s might have exchanged valentines featuring Care Bears, My Little Pony, New Kids on the Block, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, He Man or Michael Jordan.
