Combing Through Craigslist: Unique Stuff for Sale in the Forest Hills-Regent Square Area

We decided to comb Craigslist to find some of the more unique items for sale in the Forest Hills-Regent Square area. Take a look and see if you agree.

Art Deco Vanity and Mirror - $375 (Wilkinsburg)

"Unique vanity dresser, with built in seat. Great vintage shape."

Lalique Glass Bowl - $300 (Regent Square)

"LALIQUE CANNES CENDRIER: This is a piece that was originally designed in 1951 as a cigar ashtray by Marc Lalique. The Cannes Cendrier is a fabulous work of art and is typical of the evolved Rene Lalique style. The bowl is approx. 2.5" tall and 7.5" in diameter. It has eight contour shapes and can be used as a beautiful bowl for entertaining. It is an Art Deco pattern of frosted and clear glass. Mint condition—no chips or cracks. Stylus etched "Lalique - France" on bottom. Very heavy piece, weighs over 3 lbs. Retails for $675, selling for $400."

Jim Harrison Signed Numbered Coca-Cola Framed Print - Covered Bridge - $150 (Regent Square/Swissvale)

"Summer Coca-Cola Bridge." Framed size is 3 1/2 feet by 2 1/2 feet or so. This was purchased by my father in-law for $500, in 1995. The print was only $195 of that. So, it's a really expensive museum quality frame-job. Beautiful mat, glass, and frame. The print itself is great, too, and is worth $295 right now, without the frame. So, it should appraise at $500-600. (I know I won't get that, hence, the good deal!) It would get around that at an auction, but after the fees, I'd end up with this anyway! We love the print, but it just doesn't go with our house. It's signed. It's number 711 of 1500. It will be great for a Harrison collector (this will keep going up in value), a Coca-Cola collector, or someone with a country-style house."

Basketball Lamp - $20 (Regent Square)

"Great basketball table lamp - 19" tall, has cotton net and on/off switch on cord."

Wedding dress and veil size 20 (never worn) (Forest Hills)

"The dress is the Satin Side Drape Gown with Tiered Skirt which can be found on the David's Bridal website in lower sizes. I purchased the dress a year or two ago online during the closeout on the plus size version of this dress. During that time I was surprised with another dress by my mom which I plan to wear. Sooo...this has never been worn or altered. I paid $100 for the dress but am not trying to make the money back. I'd just like it to get worn by someone--not chopped up into a halloween costume. :) I have veil as well. Both definitely needed the wrinkles removed but are otherwise in brand new condition. Both have been folded neatly in a box. If interested, please respond to this post. The pictures are from the websites where I purchased the items. I also have a separate ad for a 5 tier cupcake stand if interested."
