Children's Librarian Says Goodbye to CC Mellor

Andrea McNeill's last day at the Edgewood branch was Friday.

Children’s Librarian finished her last day at the Edgewood CC Mellor Library getting visits from her biggest fans – local children and parents.

“Are you ready to see me cry some more?”to one mother.

McNeill has spent the last 16 years developing g at the library, holding countless story times and events especially for kids.

On April 25, she starts a new job at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh branch in the Hill District.

“It’s a new opportunity to try and impact a new group of kids,” she said. “It’s been a wonderful ride.”

McNeill collected cards from children in a scrapbook throughout the day and received a multitude of flowers from the community.
