Weight Loss after the Holidays

I've blogged about this before but it's time for another one.  I had fun over the holidays and now it's time to lose the 7 lbs I've gained since my birthday 2 months ago.  I've increased the resistance on the elliptical and inclined the treadmill to mix it up and burn more calories.  I'm maintaining the same diet; just eliminating the eating in front of the TV after dinner.  A bad habit that's easy to fall back into during December which is a slow month for me work wise.

My husband, bless him is doing this with me.  He doesn't need to lose weight but is supporting me by not eating ice cream and cookies at night.  I'm going to bed early a few nights/week with my Kindle (I don't allow food in the bedroom.)

I'll weigh in daily until I reach my goal of 140.  I'll blog my weight daily as another way to keep myself motivated to stick to my weight loss goals.  My short term goal is to lose steadily and get as close to 140 as I can for February 1st.  I'll revise my goal on that day based on where my weight is at.

I'll exercise daily per usual.  I'm committed to adding 20 minutes of Pilates daily.  Because of my focus on cardio for weight loss, I tend to not make the time for Pilates which is necessary for core strength, flexibility, etc.  At 56, I need all the help I can get!
