Musings from "The Cafe on the Corner"

Musings from "The Cafe on the Corner" is about how I see the world around me from a neighborhood business owner in Swissvale.

The older I get, the more I embrace the idea of "It's never too late to try something new!"

As a member of the Technically Challenged generation, I never thought of blogging. For that matter, I never fully understood the concept of blogging. I've been told that it's basically like keeping a diary. But, aren't diaries supposed to be private and not sent out into the cosmos for eternity and for anyone now and forever to read? I've been told that it's a way to communicate your feelings and thoughts to others. But, who out there really cares what I think or how I feel? I've been told that it's a great tool for teaching and passing knowledge on to others. That I can deal with!

When Stephanie from Patch emailed me about doing a blog, my immediate reaction was...."Yeah, right!" It only took a few moments, however, for my ego to take over and I found myself clicking "Reply" and typing "I'm definitely interested.....let me know what to do."

So, here we are. I'm not sure where this will go but I'm excited about a new journey. I expect that I'll be blogging about the things I know best: food, classical music, happenings at Cafe dez Artz , life in Swissvale and the Greater Pittsburgh Area, and my assortment of Bohemian Friends.

I will probably even go off on an occasional political rampage. The key thing for me is I'm trying something new. That always excites me....It's never too late!
