'Shear Beauty' Has New Owner in Forest Hills

Jackie Aites is happy to have her own business once again.

Jackie Aites is back in business in .

The Pitcairn resident has worked in the borough for more than 30 years and is thrilled to be the new owner of , an Ardmore Boulevard salon located right next to Forest Hills Coffee Company.

“I had a salon on Yost Boulevard in October 1999 and lost the business to a flood in June 2009,” Aites said. “I went to work at Creative Cuts on Greensburg Pike, bounced around a little bit and heard through the grapevine that Shear Beauty was for sale.”

She said she’s happy to own her very own spot once again.

“I love it,” she said. “I get to do what I love to do and I love the neighbors and the neighborhood feel of this area.”

Shear Beauty’s clients range from small children to people in their 90s.

Currently, the salon is carrying a full line of Matrix Total Results hair products. Aites is excited to grow the business and gain more clients this year.
