Sale of Churchill Valley Country Club Delayed

A court-ordered sale of the Churchill Valley Country Club was expected to take place earlier this week, but two bankruptcy filings have put it on hold, according to the Pittsburgh Business Times.

A court-ordered sale of the Churchill Valley Country Club was expected to take place earlier this week, but two bankruptcy filings have put it on hold, according to the Pittsburgh Business Times.

The country club—located on Beulah Road straddling Churchill and Penn Hills—was placed into receivership in January. PNC Bank had filed lawsuits against both Churchill Valley Country Club and affiliated Beulah Land Co., charging they were in default for debts totaling
 $1.4 million.

The club also owed property taxes to Churchill, Penn Hills and the Woodland Hills and Penn Hills school districts, according to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

Last month, Wexford-based Zokaites Properties LP bought out PNC’s debt for $1.2 million, according to the Business Times.

The 147-acre property includes a golf course, a clubhouse and a swimming pool.
