Restaurant Spotlight: Dat's Restaurant

This week’s restaurant spotlight is on Dat's Restaurant, located at 2027 Noble Street in Swissvale. 

Dat's started out as an ice cream parlor, but has expanded into a family restaurant that is popular with locals, who consider the spot "Swissvale's best kept secret."

Featuring down home cooking and a casual feeling, Dat's Restaurant specializes in soul food and offers dine-in seating with a diverse menu that includes appetizers, dinners, soups, sandwiches, wraps and even salmon tacos.

Dat's dishes up home cooked sides like baked mac' and cheese, cornbread and fresh collard greens, plus they offer a homemade barbecue sauce.

If there's any room left, go for dessert and choose from a selection of sundaes, fruit pies, cakes, smoothies and milk shakes.

Stop by on your lunch break, or on your way home from work. If you're in a hurry, call ahead to 412-727-2280 and be sure to ask about daily specials. 

The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 to 8 p.m. on Saturday. The restaurant is closed on Sunday.
