:Favorite Recipes" Cookbook Fundraiser

Just in time for fall and holiday menu planning comes a new cookbook from the Mothers and Daughters Guild of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, in Homestead. Calling upon members, family and friends the Guild has compiled a collection of 371 recipes including everything from appetizers to desserts. Special features include recipes from +Metropolitan Nicholas, of thrice-blessed memory, reposed in the Lord March 13, 2011, who was the spiritual leader of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of the U.S.A., as well as, favorite dishes of the church's liturgical seasons. Many of the contributors have shared personal stories about the origins of their favorite dishes. The book will be on sale Sundays from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the church auditorium at 903 Ann Street, Homestead, or by calling Florence at 412-466-7103 or Stephanie at 412-271-6907 The Guild will donate the proceeds of this fundraiser to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church projects, local Orthodox Christian charities and diocesan apostolates and ministries.
