Cibo Holds Grand Opening Friday & Saturday

New restaurant kicks off the summer in Regent Square.

Cibo, the newest restaurant to hit Regent Square, is holding its grand opening this weekend, starting with hours on Friday night from 5 to 9 p.m., followed by Saturday night from 5 to 10 p.m.

The Italian-style family restaurant is the latest venture for , who formerly owned a pizzeria and deli-style business at the same site on South Braddock Avenue. He also owns D's Six Pax n' Dogz just down the street.

The grand opening weekend will serve as an "open house" for Cibo, with offerings of complimentary drinks and appetizers, a chance to win a five-course tasting menu for four guests along with a chance to have a menu item named after neighbors. The chef also will be at the restaurant in an "asking booth."
