Forest Hills Residents Allowed To Keep Chicken And Bees

Residents of Forest Hills will be able to keep chicken and bees in the borough.

On Wednesday night, borough council approved an ordinance permitting residents to keep bees and chickens with appropriate rules and restrictions.

Officials have been discussing the change for months, and residents for and against the new law have been very vocal about the matter.

Several residents in favor of the new law attended the June 19 meeting wearing T-shirts saying, "Forest Hills Tree City Chickens and Bees." They also were carrying signs with pictures of chickens/bees and "Vote Yes."
