Mad Mex Gives Edgewood Symphony a Fiesta Fundraiser

The event will take place at Mad Mex in Shadyside on Sept. 4.

Supporters of Edgewood Symphony Orchestra will have a chance to "Mex It Up" on Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Mad Mex, 220 S. Highland Ave. in Shadyside.

Mad Mex selected the orchestra as the beneficiary of a Mexican fiesta in the restaurant's private loft. The event includes a dinner, desserts and drinks for $50 per person with 100 percent of the proceeds coming back to the Edgewood Symphony. The admission is a tax-deductible contribution.

There is a 50-person limit and the seats are starting to fill up. To reserve seats and arrange for payment by check or credit card, contact matt@edgewoodsymphony.org.

The menu will feature: Mad Mex chips with fresh salsa and guacamole; Casa Salad with choice of two dressings; taquitos; Mad Mex wings with ranch, blue cheese and celery; Mad Mex quesadillas; and Mad Mex burritos, served with sides of original salsa and sour cream.

The dessert table will feature Sopapillas and Mexican chocolate brownies with hot fudge, honey and powdered sugar.

Dinner also includes one 16-ounce Dos Equis draft or a 16-ounce house Margarita per person (must be 21 or older) and soft drinks.
