Mac Miller Hosts Impromptu Listening Party in East Liberty for 100 Fans

The Billboard charts-topping rapper showed up at the Shadow Lounge Friday.

invited local fans to an intimate listening party just before his new mixtape, "Macadelic," hit the Internet Friday night.

Held at the Shadow Lounge in East Liberty, the Point Breeze native gave the first 100 fans free t-shirts and no cover charge after sending out an invite via Facebook and Twitter the same day.

Miller sat at his laptop while he danced, sang along with the tracks and hung out with his fans. They were the first to hear his new songs—one of which features Lil' Wayne.

Miller amazed the music industry as he used the power of social media that made him an independent artist who reached #1 on the Billboard charts last November.
